By entering or attempting to compete in any Tournament, you accept and agree to these Official Rules as well as the Tournament Rules for the applicable Tournament and agree to abide and be bound by the decisions of STG and its appointed employees, agents, or representatives assigned to administer the Tournament (“Tournament Officials”).

These Official Rules and all Tournament Rules may be updated by STG without notice as necessary, including without limitation, to add further clarity, correct errors, comply with changes in applicable law, or address matters that arise after their publication.

STG reserves the right to cancel, suspend and/or modify Tournaments, or any part of it, if any fraud, technical failures or any other factor impairs the integrity or proper operation of the Tournament, as determined by STG in its sole discretion. Any attempt by any person to deliberately undermine the legitimate operation of the Tournament may be a violation of criminal and civil law, and STG reserves the right to seek damages and other remedies (including attorneys’ fees) from any such person to the fullest extent permitted by law.

    2.4 Ineligible Players

    • you must meet all eligibility criteria at the time you register and must continue to meet them throughout the duration of the Tournament.
  4. Background Checks

Potential prize winners may first be required to submit to a background check and provide the necessary information that STG requests to be eligible to receive a prize. STG reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to disqualify any potential winner based on such background check if STG determines, in its sole discretion, that awarding a prize to such winner might reflect negatively on STG.

  5. Prizes

Prizes won at Tournaments are not transferable. No substitution of prizes for other goods and services is permitted, except that STG reserves the right to provide a substitute of approximately equal or greater value if an advertised prize is unavailable or not allowed by local law.

In some Tournaments, STG may offer prizes to winners consisting of money or monetary value (“Cash Prizes”). Unless specifically stated otherwise in the applicable Tournament-specific rules, all Cash Prizes will be denominated in U.S. dollars. Participants who win Cash Prizes will be required to provide certain information to STG, such as bank account or payment account information, identification documentation, or other information necessary to process a payment and comply with applicable law. Failure to provide all requested information and documentation constitutes a forfeiture of the Cash Prize. STG will be under no obligation to pay out a Cash Prize to any Participant who either fails to provide all requested information or fails to meet all the requirements of these Official Rules and the applicable Tournament-specific rules. In no event will any Participant have any claim against STG for such forfeited Cash Prizes. STG will only send a Cash Prize to the individual winner of the prize, never to any other person or party, and only to a bank account or payment account owned by the winner. If STG believes, in its sole discretion, that sending a Cash Prize does or may violate an applicable law, it reserves the right to provide an alternative prize of approximately equal or greater value.

All federal, state, provincial and local taxes, and international tariffs are the sole responsibility of the individual winner. . If you are a winner of a prize, you are solely responsible for the timely and accurate filing of all tax returns, declarations, and schedules, as well as the timely payment of all taxes required in any applicable jurisdiction in connection with any and all prizes (whether such prizes have cash value or not) received by you in connection with Tournaments. STG will not withhold any taxes from cash prizes awarded to winners. STG makes no representations regarding the taxability or tax consequences associated with any prize received by you in connection with any Tournament. However, STG may issue an IRS form 1099 to a prize winner if, in STG’s sole determination, issuing a 1099 is required.

To the extent that winning Participants must take action to claim their Tournament rewards, they must do so within thirty (30) days after the end of the Tournament. If a winning Participant refuses the prize, or is ineligible to accept the prize, the Participant forfeits the prize. In cases where rewards are digital items distributed by STG, STG will automatically distribute the prizes within thirty (30) days after the end of the Tournament.

In the event STG cancels or suspends a Tournament for any reason, prizes will be awarded for all Tournaments prior to such cancellation or suspension in accordance with the applicable Tournament Rules.

In the event that a production or technical error results in more prizes being available or claimed than were intended to be awarded, or prizes being made available to or claimed by the wrong Participants, STG may take any and all actions it reasonably believes are necessary to resolve the issue in a fair or reasonable manner. In no event shall STG award or grant more prizes than the number stated in the Tournament Rules unless provided otherwise expressly in writing by STG.
